Table 3.2 graph 3.2 show that 75% of total population (N=4) “Hardly agree” that phobia has relation with the person’ age or gender; whereas, 25% of participant who opted “Disagree”. No one opted for the first and last option.

This item aims to investigate the symptoms of phobia that teachers observed on learners. The following table represents teachers’ answers:

From the table above, in this question teachers have multiple choices. 25% of participants who claimed that “shaking” is one of the symptoms that can be observe on students. One teacher who making up 25% of participants opted “Shaking”, “Escaping” and “Crying”; whereas, the other participants, who making up 25%, opted “Shaking”, “Excessive sweating” and “Crying”. The last participant makes up 25% of participants choice “Shaking” and “Crying” are the symptoms of phobia that h/she observed on learners. This indicates that exam phobia has different symptoms.

Item 05: How can exam-phobia affect learners’ results?

This item was intended to know how exam-phobia affects learners’ result. The results are summarized in the following table:

50% of total of participants (N=4) at Biskra University claim that exam- phobia affects learners’ results by “Having bad marks” and by “Losing interest in their studies” whereas, 25% of participants who opted “Having bad marks”. Also, 25% of participants chose “lose interest in studies”.

Item 01: Does the exam environment have an effect on learners’ achievement?

 The item aims to investigate whether the exam environment has an effect on learners’ achievement. The answers are illustrated in the coming table:

The whole population (N=30) i.e. the equivalent of 100% affirmed that exam environment has an effect on learners’ achievement. We assume that the learners are not comfortable during exam; this may refer to the physiological setting itself and to the large number of teachers and students inside the classroom.
