PRESENTS
A present is a thing given or received as a gift. I believe everybody loves to get presents on a special occasion. We sometimes get presents from our friends and relatives on Christmas Day. And, of course, we also prepare lots of presents for them. We even have a list of people whom we are going to give presents. We don’t want to miss anyone. I enjoy the time when we can take our presents from under the Christmas tree. Sometimes we get presents after finishing a school year, especially if our marks are excellent. But the most wonderful time is my birthday. My parents usually find out what to give me to my birthday beforehand. They try to buy me something essential: a new mobile phone, a notebook, some clothes. My friends usually give me books or CDs with my favourite games or films as birthday presents. I am always happy and glad to receive any present. Each present is very valuable to me. Frankly speaking, I enjoy giving presents to my friends and relatives myself. I love that special happy feeling in my heart, when I give anybody a present. It’s so nice to choose presents to people. I always want presents to be fitted to people I am going to give presents to. To sum up I love to give presents more than to receive them.

I’d like to tell you about my house. You know that some people live in multistoreyed buildings and some have private houses or cottages. As for me I live in a flat in a large nine- storeyed house. My flat is on the fourth floor with all modern conveniences. There is a living-room, a bedroom, a children’s room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a small hall. We can watch TV, listen to music, play the piano in the living-room. There is a nice set of furniture, two arm-chairs, a sofa, a TV-set in the corner, a nice thick carpet on the floor. So, it’s a room for relaxation. It is a room for general use. We like to receive our friends and guests there. If I want to work or to do my homework, I may go to the children’s room. There you will see a desk, a bookcase with lots of books on everybody’s tastes. On the table there is the computer I play. This room is very comfortable. I like it very much. In the kitchen you will see a cooker, a fridge, a table with four stools, a microwave oven, a dishwasher, a washing-machine. As for me I our kitchen is the best not only for having meals but for sitting, discussing something, chattering. It has a special atmosphere of comfort. My family is a special castle, where I feel myself comfortable and safe, where everybody loves me and I love them.

I study at Gymnasia in Enakievo. We go to school five days a week. We have 6-7 lessons a day.
At school we have classes in various subjects. The programme of studies includesthe Russian Language and Literature, English, Mathematics, Biology, Geography, History, Physics, Chemistry, Physical training, Computer Science.

To tell the truth, I am not such a diligent pupil. Sometimes I am lazy, I can spend all the day at the computer, forgetting about my lessons. We are taught many different subjects. I can`t say that I like all of them. But as for English I have fallen in love with this subject since the first minute. It was so unusually when the teacher came into the class and began to speak with us on an unknown language. I was eager to understand what she was telling about. Sincethen it has been my favourite subject. At the lessons I like to read, translate, play and learn English songs. Unfortunately, I can`t always speak correctly because I am not still good at grammar. But I will do my best and I hope I’ll improve my English!
