В условных придаточных предложениях после союза if употребляются неопределенные местоимения anybody, anyone, anything.
If anybody rings me up, tell them I'll be at home at six.– Если кто-нибудь позвонит мне, скажи им, что я буду дома в шесть.
Местоимения anybody, anyone, anything не употребляются в функции подлежащего в отрицательных предложениях. В таких случаях употребляются: nobody, no one – никто, никого, nothing – ничто, ничего, которые образуются от местоимения по.
Nobody will соmе вместоAnybody will not come.– Никто не придет.
Местоимения nobody, no one, nothing употребляются с глаголами в утвердительной форме, так как в английском языке в предложении может быть только одно отрицание.
Никто никогда не хочет никуда идти вечером. –Nobody ever wants to go anywhere in the evening.
He tells no one about his family anywhere. = He does not tell anyone about his family anywhere.– Он никому нигде не рассказывает о своей семье.
Проанализируйте употребление never и ever в следующих предложениях:
She never goes anywhere in the evening. = She does not ever go anywhere in theevening.– Она никогда никуда не ходит вечером.
Такие местоимения, как: nothing, nobody, no one, также относятся к третьему лицу единственного числа и в настоящем простом времени требуют в глаголах суффикс -s.
Nobody wants to go there.– Никто не хочет идти туда.
No в сочетании с where образует наречие nowhere – нигде, никуда.
Where did she go?–Nowhere.– Куда она ходила? – Никуда.
