Today it is impossible to find a single PC without a browser, regardless of whether it is connected to any network.

Браузер запрашивает с сервера информацию, интерпретирует ее особым образом и создает веб-страницу на экране пользователя. Создание и интерпретация страниц производится по отраслевым стандартам, утверждаемым международной стандартизирующей организацией. Браузеры появились почти в самом начале развития Интернет и с каждым годом их ареал их распространения все более расширялся. Сегодня нельзя найти ни одного персонального компьютера без браузера, вне зависимости от того, подключен ли он к какой-нибудь сети.

Кэш браузера – это специально выделенное место памяти на жёстком диске, где хранятся копии предварительно посещённых страниц, картинок, и других необходимых для просмотра интернет-страниц файлов.
Эта процедура придумана и используется для более быстрой загрузки страниц и уменьшения трафика. При обращении к интернет-узлу браузер проверяет наличие ранее сохранённых копий тех же файлов в памяти и если таковые имеются - не загружает их с сервера повторно.
